Özge Sezer

Özge Sezer was born in Izmir, Turkey in 1984. She received her Bachelor degree in Architecture in Izmir Institute of Technology in 2007 and her Master degree in Architectural History at Istanbul Technical University in 2010. In 2018 she completed the doctoral studies with her dissertation «Idealization of
the Land: Forming the New Rural Settlements in Early Republican Period of Turkey» at TU Berlin and received her PhD with the grade of Magna Cum Laude. Özge Sezer worked as an architect in restoration and conservation projects of historic buildings and archeological sites in Turkey and as an adjunct lecturer in Art and Architectural History in Izmir and Berlin. Since January 2020 she is a member of DFG Research Training Group 1913 – Cultural and Technological Significance of Historic Buildings at Brandenburg University of Technology as a postdoctoral researcher.
